It is serene and unpolluted, just the place to stay and study. Faculty: The hospital houses both national and international experienced teachers to conduct classes and CME. It offers a multidisciplinary program with expert obstetricians, gynecologist, physicians, surgeons, and neonatologists. Teaching: Morning case reviews, daily teaching rounds, didactic lectures, seminars, symposium, journal clubs and medical audit are mandatory with minimum 90 % attendance. Conference attendance is arranged and paper presentation encouraged. Training: The hospital is a jewel in the desert for the patients as we are the only charitable hospital in a radius of 200 km. There is a lot of clinical material that the students have so much to learn from. We can boast this is the only hospital where every resident is trained to do surgery independently. All Residents are trained in ultrasonogram, colposcopy, as well as assistance of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, CTG, and NST.
Assessments & Appraisals: Weekly presentations, monthly tests and six monthly appraisals are conducted. Course details: The course starts in every July. Advertisement will be given in local and national papers in the first week of July. Last date for application to reach the institution is 15th of July. The interview will be on 16th July if it falls on Sunday the interview will be conducted on 17th July. Admission requirement: Candidates who have passed MBBS & CET conducted by the national board are eligible for applying for the course. Please note that application to the hospital does not qualify you for admission. National board recommended interview will be conducted and if satisfactory, admission will be given. (NO ADMISSION FOR THE YEAR 2010) Curriculum: DNB curriculum will be followed. Log book have to be maintained which will be scrutinized by the consultant. Research, Paper presentations and publication: Students are required to write a thesis and submitted six months before examinations. Paper presentation & publications should be done as per DNB requirements.
